Over the past year, Inclusive Church has been undergoing a quiet transformation.
We’ve taken time to reflect, to stabilise, to reimagine. We’ve asked hard questions, listened deeply, and laid new foundations. And now, as we unveil our new visual identity, we’re not just changing how we look, we’re marking a moment of emergence and a commitment to be bolder in our approach.
Some of you affectionately called our old logo “the hungry caterpillar.” It served us well: playful, curious, full of potential and distinctive. But now, we’re stepping into something new. Not because we’ve arrived, but because we’re ready to be more visible, more intentional, and more open than ever before. Inclusive Church are emerging with a new look and a renewed sense of purpose.
We’re calling this our Butterfly Era.
Not because the new logo is a butterfly, it isn’t. But because the journey we’ve been on mirrors the butterfly’s story: a time of inward change, after a period of preparation and exploring, followed by dynamic action that brings hope. A shift from hidden work to visible witness. From potential to presence.
Butterflies are symbols of transformation, hope, and beauty. They remind us that change is not only possible, it’s sacred and necessary. And while a butterfly’s life may be short, their impact is lasting. They pollinate. They inspire. They remind us to move lightly, but with purpose.
So as we roll out this new identity, we do so with wings open and a reissued invitation for you to join in. There is space and place for you to be more fully invested and involved with our work, as we seek to include and invite an ever-increasing diversity of people, interacting and collaborating with others, in order to improve our communities, churches and selves.
Building on the ‘Are You In?’ survey IC conducted last year, we are continuing to ask that question and encourage others to explore with us, how to invite, include, involve and invest more fully in the work of Inclusive Church and the vision of churches becoming more diverse, genuinely inclusive and equitably accessible to all.
We are still Inclusive Church. With the same commitment to equipping, empowering and supporting local change that enables more folk to be included. But we are also becoming… something more. Something less subtle than we’ve been before. Because it’s time churches change and adopt an expectant attitude of equitable justice and affirming experience from and in churches.
We are excited for the way ahead and hope you are too!

Visual Description of the new logo:
Three stylized church outlines with arched windows, one of which has a cross on top, because our faith is central to our identity.
The outlines use a gradient of green and blue, transitioning from darker at the bottom to lighter at the top.
To the right, the name “Inclusive Church” appears in bold, dark green text.
