The Venerable Allie Kerr is the Archdeacon of Bromley and Bexley, in the Diocese of Rochester. She was ordained in the Church of England in 2009, after training for ministry at Ripon College Cuddesdon. She has served in parishes in Poole, the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth as well as holding roles as Area Dean and Mission Development Officer. Before ordination she attended an Ecumenical Church where Baptists, Methodist, United Reformed and Anglican members all worshipped together.

Allie has been on an interesting journey towards inclusion. Her faith journey began in a large, non-denominational Conservative Evangelical church but as she has read the scriptures and discovered more of the character of Jesus, she has become convinced that the Kingdom of God cannot be fully realised until people of all backgrounds are truly included, affirmed and enabled to speak truth to power and reshape the way we think.

She is passionate about inclusion in all forms and brings experience of strategic development, missional thinking and as a Trustee of a number of different charities.

Allie was identified by our 2024 trustee recruitment exercise and elected to a three-year term as an independent trustee by the membership at the 2024 AGM. She became vice-chair in September 2024.
