Disability Conference
This year’s Inclusive Church/St Martin-in-the-Fields Disability Conference will take place on Zoom on Saturday 19 October, with a themed service at St Martin's on Sunday 20. Now in its 13th year, the conference is a space curated by and for Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people to share stories, ideas and theology and to envision a church that celebrates and values the lived experiences of its disabled members.
These conferences have been a unique space over the last decade, and we are excited for another chance to come together and learn, encourage and support one another. Registration will open soon.
Radical Love conference
Hosted by St James & Emmanuel (Didsbury, Manchester), Radical Love is a conference that will explore the biblical meaning of relationship and acceptance in a church truly for everyone.
Talks from Jonathan Tallon and David Runcorn will be supported by breakout seminars providing opportunities to discuss and share what it means to be an inclusive evangelical.
Nick Bundock and Augustine Tanner-Ihm will also share St James & Emmanuel’s inclusive journey since the tragic death of Lizzie Lowe.
The conference is a unique opportunity to engage with the core issues that enable or challenge inclusivity. It is open to paid and volunteer church leaders as well as interested individuals simply wishing to meet with like-minded people of faith.
Those delegates arriving on Friday are invited to an informal time of worship at Emmanuel from 7.30pm to 9.30pm led by Alexa Russell. Delegates staying over on Saturday night are invited to join us at either St James or Emmanuel for morning worship. John Bell will be at Emmanuel on both days.

Dignity for All: Let's End Poverty conference
Join us at the Dignity for All: Let's End Poverty conference for a day filled with discussions, inspiring speakers, and collaborative workshops.
It's a gathering for anyone working to reclaim dignity, agency and power. It’s led by the real experts – people with personal experience of the issues.
Together, we are building a powerful movement for change. We can make poverty a priority in the General Election – and make the voices of people in poverty heard.

Generous Faith:
Creating vibrant Christian communities
A former Chair of Inclusive Church, Canon Giles Goddard embodies the story of the Church of England’s struggles to understand and accommodate differences in human sexuality.
From the paradox of feeling both excluded and called to the priesthood, to becoming the only openly gay priest on the Living in Love and Faith co-ordinating group, this book reflects on thirty years’ experience of trying to make the church more inclusive.
In his work as priest of St John’s Waterloo, he has continued to push the boundaries of inclusion, offering a prayer space for the Muslim community, welcoming refugees, the street homeless, and Extinction Rebellion activism.
Anyone who shares these dreams for the church will recognise themselves here: Giles is a kind of everyman for everyone whose faith and work bring them into conflict with the stance of the Church. The story is told through the lens of the Christian year with its seasons of preparation, retreat and growth.
